It's no secret that I love music of the 60s-70s. Although I do have a soft spot for Punk and Grunge that was to follow. I've been revisiting The Family That Plays Together by Spirit. It received a lot of airplay in the day (Scot Muni played it often). It's a very textured album, at times quiet and melodic with beautiful harmonies. Okay, it might not have the gloss and complex themes of what many consider their best album--The Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus--but really, it's worth a listen. This album still holds up to the test of time, believe me.
Kyle talks about life, lit, music, manga girls, sexual taboos, inferiority complexes, Melville's whale, and the pursuit of meaning or close to.
